Debating Who’s the Greatest in FRONT of the GOAT

Having just heard that one of them would betray Jesus, the disciples begin to argue over which of them is the greatest. It’s quite revealing that in the midst of the one who is truly the greatest of all time (the GOAT) and with the cross nearing when our great Savior would accomplish his great work of atoning for the sins of his people, the disciples were consumed with pride. From this passage we learn much about the sin of pride, Christian leadership and what it really means to be great.
