The Lion of Judah

In this third of four Advent sermons on titles ascribed to Jesus Christ in scripture, our focus will be on the title “The Lion of Judah”. We first encounter a reference to the Lion of Judah in Genesis 49 when Jacob blesses one of his sons. This blessing was part of a messianic prophecy that would be fulfilled in Jesus Christ, who was a descendant of Judah. Considering the significance of this title, The Lion of Judah, will help us to behold Jesus Christ’s greatness.
