To glorify God by training and equipping the next generation of Christian children and their families through singing and musical literacy.

"Awake the Dawn"

Learning Objectives:

• Reading God's Word and understanding that music comes from God and is one way we can give glory to God
• Using Kodály (pronounced "Co-die") music training pedagogy which includes learning theory, matching pitch, singing independently and with a group, and developing one's voice
• Keeping a steady beat, learning about rhythm, and learning how to read music
• Experiencing music through movement, games, and folk dancing

Details:

• Cost is $50.00 for the first child, $25.00 for each additional child. 
  • Scholarships are available if the cost is prohibitive. Please reach out to your respective church leadership.
• Register through the church calendar on the website or see the link in the weekly email.
• Dress will be modest, and our dress code will be in the information packet.
• Camp is open to children ages 5-18.
• Children will be grouped by ages for optimal learning.
• Each group will be led by a music teacher, assistant and parent helpers.
• We will start each day with a morning assembly. 
  • During the assembly, there will be singing and scripture teaching related to our conference theme. 
    • We will have announcements and then dismiss to class.
• Classes will consist of a mixture of musical training, singing with some folk dancing. There will be "wartime" (outdoor activities & sports) to burn off some energy and enjoy our beautiful property.
• We will end the week with a showcase on Friday, the 13th at 6:00pm. Please feel free to invite family and friends to join us!
