The Kingdom Shall be the LORD’s

In the closing verses of the book of Obadiah the LORD promises to do two things; destroy and build. First, God promises to destroy Edom and all those who are wicked towards his people, this destruction will come by way of God’s judgment and is tied to “the day of the Lord”. Second, the LORD promises to build his kingdom, this glorious truth is how the book of Obadiah ends and it points us to Christ’s rule over all.
