Lesson 2 - Forming an Image of Blessedness and Delight in the Torah

Mar 10, 2024    Drew Hacker

Join us for the second teaching on Musing on God's Music where we explore how the Psalms form an image of blessedness in our hearts as Christians. How Psalm 1 and 2 function as a "prelude" to the 150 Psalms, which can be coined as a five-movement cantata. We uncover how the Psalms are tied to the blessing from God in Gen 1:28 and the curse in Gen 3:15. We see how Psalm 1 sets up a contrast with blessedness and wickedness in the world. We also see purpose in how the Palter is arranged similar to the 5 books by Moses known as the Torah and receive teaching that what truly guides our hearts will shape our lives. Content from the class is based on the book 'Musing on God's Music' by Scott Aniol.
