The Anatomy of Mature Lament

There is no distinction; the troubles of this life come for everybody, even believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our response to those troubles is where an important distinction emerges, however. Do we respond in God-centered maturity, or do we respond in a self- and circumstance-centered way? Psalm 80 demonstrates the anatomy of a mature response to life's troubles — and even presents an indicator as to what extent we are believing the very gospel we claim to uphold.
