Jesus Christ Our Intercessor, Preserver, and Substitute

In this conversation that Jesus had with Peter, we are given unique insight on how Christ intercedes for and preserves his people; not even Satan can take the Lord’s people from him. Jesus then speaks of his substitutionary death and how it will impact the disciples and their ministry. There are truths in this passage that will strengthen the believer and there are challenging realities for us to apply.
